**Hello neighbours, **the last couple of weeks have been full of heartbreak and hope in our community. Read on for a recap of our recent town hall event and information about our exciting upcoming canvassing initiative, including how to get involved.

Town Hall Success

On March 14, VanGran 4 Palestine held a town hall to get the community together to share our collective pain and determination to stop the genocide happening in Gaza. During the event, we heard stories from our community, mobilized for the next steps, and nurtured care among us.

Attendees included our local MP, Taleeb Noormohamed, and Richmond MP, Wilson Miao, both members of the Liberal Party. We took this opportunity to call on these MPs to represent their constituents' true wishes by taking immediate action to end Canada's complicity in the genocide. Part of that request was to ask them to support the NDP motion on Palestine brought to parliament on March 18. Taleeb did vote yes on the amended motion, and while this is a step in the right direction, it ultimately falls short of what our government needs to do to stop the genocide.

Thank you Vancouver-Granville constituents and friends for coming out and joining the conversation. This town hall was a vivid demonstration of our collective resolve to bring the genocide in Gaza to an end and to bring about a free Palestine in our lifetime.

See you at the next event!

Call for Canvassing

VanGran 4 Palestine is starting a new canvassing program with a lot of potential to drive real change towards our MP Taleeb Noormohamed’s stance and likelihood for him to deliver on our demands. We are door-knocking and asking constituents who previously voted Liberal to sign a petition advising Taleeb that he will lose their votes unless he takes immediate action to end his party's complicity in the genocide, including the sale of arms to Israel.

Canvassing is a great way to get out in the community and meet with your neighbours, knowing that with every signature we gain, we are one step closer to seeing our demands succeed.

We hope that you will join us for the canvassing sessions. If you want to sign up, come chat with us at events, respond to this email or feel free to reach out to us on Instagram @vangran4palestine.

Together, we can work towards a Free Palestine.
